How does it work?

The app is designed to work with the EyeTV W, a compact hardware accessory that enables tuning into free over-the-air Freeview (DTT/DVB-T) broadcasts. The EyeTV W requires an Android device with a dual-core ARM CPU of 1 GHz or faster and Android version 4.0.3 (“Ice Cream Sandwich”) or later. Playback of MPEG-4/H.264 video necessitates processors with NEON support (e.g., Tegra3).

Important Notes

• The availability of EPG data and teletext information may differ among broadcasters.
• The quality of playback for high bitrate channels can be influenced by the bandwidth limitations of an 802.11g Wi-Fi network.
• EyeTV W supports MPEG-2 video in both standard and high definition as well as MPEG-4/H.264 video in standard definition and DVB-T radio (where available). However, high-definition MPEG-4/H.264 channels, encrypted programs, and DVB-T2 broadcasts are not compatible.
